National
and international award winner graphic designer, artist, and academic. He focuses on conceptual
approaches to book design and typographic expression. Since 2008, he has
collaborated with major art institutions and artists on exhibition identities
and book designs. In 2014, he was accepted into Werkplaats Typografie Summer School, one of the world's most prestigious graduate schools in the field. His book "re: [aap_2020]" for Arter
received an honorable mention at the Fritz Gottschalk Award and was included in
the permanent collection of the Swiss Museum of Avant-Garde Arts. He has participated in numerous national and
international group exhibitions and had two solo exhibitions. To enhance the
permeability between art and design, he undertakes curatorial projects and
regularly publishes articles on design culture in both print and online media.
He edited and authored the comprehensive book “Yurdaer’i Anlatmak: Yurdaer
Altıntaş’ın Yapıtlarına Kesintisiz bir Bakış,” dedicated to the influential
Turkish graphic designer Yurdaer Altıntaş, who passed away in 2019. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Turkish
Graphic Designers Association (GMK) and served on its board from 2021 to 2023.
He continues his academic career as a full-time Assistant Professor in the
Graphic Design Department at Yaşar University's Faculty of Art and Design,
while also engaging in independent design and art projects.
